At United Way of Northeast Louisiana, we envision a community where all individuals and families achieve their human potential through education, income stability, and healthy lives. We welcome community investment applications from any 501C3 serving residents of Northeast Louisiana in the areas of our aspirations. A pre-application is required and is the first step in the application process. Successful applicants become Partner Agencies of United Way and receive a monthly allocation of funds (July-June) determined by United Way community volunteers. Any agency with an interest in applying should review our Partner Agency Standards document.

We are pleased to announce that we have reopened our annual agency program application process as of Wednesday, January 7th, 2026. It will remain open until January 23, 2026.

Any 501c3 organization interested in applying for partner agency funding must meet the following requirements:
-Provide services aligned with at least one of our three aspirational areas
-Provide services for residents in Lincoln, Union, Jackson Parishes and/or the Regional Parishes (Caldwell, East Carroll, Franklin, Madison, Morehouse, Ouachita, Richland, Tensas, and West Carroll)

Local volunteers, representing all segments of the community, determine how to invest dollars raised by United Way NELA. The recommendations for funding are reviewed and approved by the organization's volunteers annually. Interested in volunteering with this process? Sign up here.
